A Surprise Birthday Party Turned Into a Magical Proposal

Holker revealed that Edmunds orchestrated the proposal during her 38th birthday celebration on Feb. 6. What she believed was simply a surprise birthday party transformed into an unforgettable engagement moment.

“You surprised me with a surprise birthday party and then surprised me and all our guests at the party with a surprise proposal party,” she shared. “The whole night was magic and you had every detail thought out to make it even more special.”

The proposal setting was breathtaking. Edmunds got down on one knee on a bed of red rose petals, surrounded by close friends and family. The bash was planned by Troy Williams of Simply Troy Events and even included a live performance by Clinton Kane, who performed the couple’s favorite song, “I Guess I’m in Love.” The romantic atmosphere made the evening feel like a silver-screen fairytale brought to life.

A Deeply Emotional Love Story

Holker expressed her gratitude and love openly in her heartfelt message.

“I am so in love with you Adam. Baby, I am forever grateful for you and the impact you have had in my life and my kids’ lives,” she wrote. “I am a better person because of you. She continued by acknowledging the blessing of blending their families and the emotional security Edmunds has brought into her life. “You and your kids coming into our lives has been the biggest blessing,” she added.

The photos shared online captured Holker wearing a red satin dress, while Edmunds wore a white button-up shirt paired with a black sport coat and pants. The images of him kneeling among countless roses reflected a moment filled with sincerity and devotion.

Honoring the Past While Embracing the Future

Holker was previously married to Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who served as a DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show beginning in 2012. The couple married in 2013 after meeting on So You Think You Can Dance and shared three children together: Weslie, 17, Maddox, 9, and Zaia, 5. Boss died by suicide in December 2022 at the age of 40.

Since his passing, Holker has continued to honor his legacy. On the third anniversary of his death, she shared a touching montage of their dances and family memories, writing, “We honor you and cherish all of our beautiful memories with you. We loved laughing, creating and dancing. We will love you forever.”

While grief has remained part of her journey, Holker has shown remarkable resilience. Her engagement represents not forgetting the past, but bravely choosing hope and love again.

A Powerful Message of Healing and Second Chances

According to reports, Holker began dating Edmunds about a year and a half after Boss’ passing. They made their relationship public at New York Fashion Week in September 2024, after subtly introducing their romance on social media the month prior.

Her journey has not been without challenges. She previously faced criticism surrounding revelations in her memoir about struggles she discovered after her late husband’s passing. Holker later explained that her intention was to help others recognize potential warning signs and seek support before it’s too late.

Now, with this engagement, Holker is embracing a future filled with gratitude, emotional growth, and renewed faith in love. As she vowed to her fiancé, “Adam, I will always support you, hold you and love you. You are my everything.”
